Feel the world digitally: FEELIF
With the tablets and smartphones from Feelif, blind and visually impaired people can experience the digital world in a new way and, as the Slovenian start-up says, “see digitally”.
The devices are equipped with a special technology:
There is a tactile, transparent grid on the screen that enables the user to perceive content on the screen through a combination of vibration and sound.
You can feel shapes, images, diagrams, and photos. Your own drawings or photos are also possible.
Users can feel and hear exactly which objects are in a picture, where they are and what shape, size and colour they are. A SIM card also enables you to make calls and write messages.
Two Slovenian museums are already using the Feelif technology to enable blind and visually impaired visitors to experience individual images. Schools are using technology to make teaching more inclusive.

DIE WELT DIGITAL ERTASTEN: FEELIF
Mit den Tablets und Smartphones von Feelif können blinde und sehbehinderte Menschen die digitale Welt neu erfahren und, wie das slowenische Start-up sagt, „digital sehend“ werden. Die Geräte sind mit einer speziellen Technologie ausgestattet: Auf dem Bildschirm liegt ein taktiles transparentes Raster, das es Benutzer:innen durch eine Kombination aus Vibration und Ton ermöglicht, Inhalte auf
dem Bildschirm wahrzunehmen. Sie können Formen, Bilder, Diagramme und Fotos ertasten. Auch eigene Zeichnungen oder Fotoaufnahmen sind möglich. Nutzer:innen können genau fühlen und hören, welche Objekte auf einem Bild sind, wo diese sich befinden und welche Form, Größe und Farbe sie haben. Eine SIM-Karte ermöglicht außerdem das Telefonieren und das Schreiben von Nachrichten.
Zwei slowenische Museen nutzen die Feelif-Technologie bereits, um einzelne Bilder auch für blinde und sehbehinderte Besucher:innen erlebbar zu machen. Schulen setzen die Technologie für inklusiveren Unterricht ein.
